Before/After Getting A Service
(Microblading, microshading, lip blushing, and eyeliner are permanent makeup services NOT TATTOOS).
These services will fade and require a touch-up following 4-6 weeks after the initial service to ensure proper healing of the skin.
The healing process for microblading, shading, and eyeliner is 2 weeks.
The healing process for lip blushing is only 7-10 days.
Be sure to book your appointment 2 weeks in advance if you have travel plans coming up that involve water activities and suntanning.
After the first 2 sessions, you're only getting your brows done every 1-2 years! That is why permanent makeup is so popular. Wake up with perfect brows every day!
Clients not eligible for permanent makeup include-
Pregnant or Nursing
Under 18 years old
Currently taking blood thinning medications
Undergoing chemotherapy
Using or used Accutane in the past 6 months
MRSA
(If you have anything else that may be a concern, please consult your doctor before booking an appointment)
Before
Exfoliating the skin BEFORE any permanent makeup service is very beneficial to the results to ensure better healing and color retention (lip exfoliation can be done 2x the day before and 1x the morning of the appointment).
If you are taking blood thinning medication you will not be a candidate unless you can refrain from taking the medication 48 hours before your appointment. Please consult your doctor if you have additional questions.
After
The healing process for each service is 2 weeks (not including lip blushing, which is 7-10 days).
The first week the permanent makeup will be a bit on the darker side and will look very fresh. Each service will need to be cleansed morning and night with soap provided by your artist and moisturized with the balm provided, Aquaphor, or Vaseline for 1 week.
The second week the permanent makeup will scab as part of the healing process. Most of the time these scabs are so small they are not visible to the naked eye.
During this second week, no products are used and the scabs will flake off for about a week. It is essential to NOT pick at your scabs. Just like a tattoo, this can result in the pigment coming off with the scab.
Important Inforamtion
In those 2 weeks, you CANNOT get the area submerged in WATER, SWEAT & SUN (tanning and tanning beds), and NO MAKEUP on the area.
NO skincare products should be applied on the permanent makeup service other than the ones that are instructed for the proper aftercare.
Stronger skincare products including retinol, acids, and exfoliants should be completely AVOIDED on the area to avoid fading and unwanted color changes.
